Victim of ADF Attack in Kasese Laid to Rest

Kasese District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | The body of Nzoera Clerise, 43, who fell victim to suspected ADF rebels in Katholhu village, Nyakiyumbu sub-county, Kasese district on Friday, has been laid to rest at her ancestral home in Nyakahya, Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town council.

Uganda’s State Minister for National Guidance, Hon. Godfrey Baluku Kabyanga, urged the community to stay vigilant and collaborate in identifying individuals alleged to be aiding and abetting ADF rebels in Kasese district. He expressed disappointment, emphasizing that ADF rebels couldn’t operate near Rusese UPDF barracks without support from local collaborators, who he insisted should face consequences.

Eriphaz Muhindi, the Kasese district leader, called for no amnesty for those reportedly collaborating with ADF rebels, warning that the enemy has no loyalty and may turn against them in due time.

Mr. Capson Sausi, Director of Sajoca Events LTD and owner of Team Sausi, remembered the late Clerise as a political mobilizer and also announced his candidacy for the Bukonzo West Constituency Member of Parliament seat in 2026.

Member of Parliament Hon. Godfrey Atkins Katusabe demanded a security report on the situation in Kasese district following multiple suspected ADF rebel attacks.

May the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
