Kyegegwa District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Police in Kyegegwa District are currently probing the tragic murder of Patrick Baguma, a 47-year-old village chairman representing Kisambya cell in Kisambya ward, Mpara Town Council. The horrifying incident unfolded on Sunday night when unknown assailants brutally took Baguma’s life, and his lifeless body was later found in a nearby stone quarry.

According to Vincent Twesige, the spokesperson for Rwenzori West police, Baguma met his untimely death shortly after leaving his residence around 8 pm on Sunday. He had set out to Kyakikoyo Trading Center to collect empty jerrycans for his planned milk collection the following day (Monday).

After obtaining the jerrycans from Moses Kyamanywa, Baguma departed from Kyamanywa’s place at approximately 9 pm, riding his motorcycle on the way back home. Tragically, he never reached his destination.

The grim discovery of Baguma’s lifeless body was made at 6 am on Monday by his close neighbor, Emmanuel Nyakana. The gruesome scene revealed that Baguma’s face was covered in blood, and his body was located within the confines of the stone quarry adjacent to his home, as reported by the police.

Furthermore, it was revealed that the perpetrators also stole Baguma’s motorcycle and mobile phone, leaving only his helmet at the crime scene.
