Bashir Asiku, the defender for Wakiso Giants, is now facing a five-match suspension following an incident that took place after his club’s clash with URA FC on October 21, 2023, in Lugazi.

The FUFA Disciplinary Panel (FDP) imposed this penalty in accordance with Article 13(1) and 13(3) of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code.

Asiku’s transgression involved a physical altercation with match officials within the dressing room after the game’s conclusion. During the incident, he struck a window, shattering the glass and causing injuries to the match officials.

In addition to the suspension, Asiku has been fined UGX 500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand Uganda Shillings). He is required to settle this fine in full before being allowed to participate in any football-related activities.
