Foreigners allowed to exit Gaza

Saturday, October 14, 2023

Egypt, Israel, and the United States have reached an agreement permitting foreigners residing in Gaza to transit through the Rafah border crossing into Egypt, as confirmed by a high-ranking Egyptian official.

The official notes that Israel has committed to refraining from launching attacks in areas through which the foreigners will pass on their journey out of the besieged Palestinian region. The negotiations involved Qatar’s participation, and the relevant Palestinian groups, Hamas and Islamic Jihad, have granted their approval.

It’s essential to emphasize that this agreement does not address the issue of hostages held by Hamas.

Further developments are pending. Stay tuned.
