Pope Francis Extends Condolences and Prayers for Hawaii’s Wildfire Victims

Pope Francis has conveyed his condolences for the loss of life and the widespread devastation inflicted by the wildfires in Hawaii.

A Vatican-issued statement conveys the Pope’s profound sorrow upon receiving news of the loss of life and the extensive damage caused by the wildfires.

The Pontiff has further expressed his solidarity with all individuals enduring the distressing impacts of this calamity, particularly those who have lost family members or are grappling with the uncertainty of their whereabouts.

The official statement further underscores that His Holiness is committed to offering prayers for the departed, the injured, and those displaced, along with extending his prayers to the valiant first responders and dedicated emergency personnel.

It has been reported that the wildfires have claimed the lives of at least 55 individuals, while numerous others have sustained injuries.
