Two business women reportedly operating in Mawa market are currently in police custody in Kasese on allegations of self-kidnap, Examiner has leant.

The Liaisons officer for Rwenzori East Region, SP Luke Mbusa confirmed the information and said the yet to be identified suspects were arrested by joint security forces after reports to police by their relatives that the duo had been kidnaped into Queen Elizabeth National park by unknown armed people.

SP Luke who said police was investigating the motive of the two separate incidents added that following the scaring reports, security swung in action only to find out that one of the suspects who had diversionary phone calls, was hiding along Margherita Street in Kasese Municipality.

He asked the local community members to desist from acts that taint their image before revealing that whoever will be implicated into the matter, was to be reigned before court.

Earlier, SP Luke had told this radio that Mr. Willy Asaba, a son to a business tycoon based in Kasese Municipality had been released on Police Bond as the police scan into his alleged kidnap.
